As we’ve been closely involved with this new award ever since it was conceived, we were invited to the inaugural launch on 8 May 2019.

This is because Greenfisher is the creative partner for the award and designed the new, distinctive brand identity, the website and the impressive award, itself. Find out how we did it. In the months leading up to the highly successful launch event, we’ve provided behind-the-scenes support for the social media and PR campaign and Craig Thatcher was one the judges on the panel to shortlist the ten finalist and select the overall winner.

The reason for creating this award is to shine a very bright spotlight on the fantastic people who work as corporate receptionists and raise the profile of this critically important part of the hospitality industry - because first impression are so important. The 8 May date is significant as it is International Receptionists’ Day.

Greg Mace, Managing Director of Rapport Guest Services was the mastermind behind this new award, although most of the companies in this niche sector gave their support in some form or other.

The atmosphere in the room on the night was exciting as we celebrated with the finalists celebrate their friends, colleagues and clients at a prestigious City of London location.

Kitjia Lace of Rapport Guest Services was the worthy winner and so Craig had to have a photo taken with her. She was over the moon to receive the award and all of us were struck by how modest she was when talking to her.

We were also delighted to be joined by several long-standing Greenfisher clients, who enjoyed the hospitality, drinks and canapés and the opportunity for some socialising. Until next year!
