Rapport Excellence Awards 2018

I attended another fantastic Excellence Awards event and as usual it was extremely well attended by Rapport Ambassadors and clients alike, in a larger theatre-style venue in the City of London.

What always strikes me about this annual event is the tangible excitement it generates in all the nominees, the winners and all their supporters. This year the teams nominated for an award each made a film explaining why they should win which were shown back-to-back. The creativity and ingenuity in each of the very distinct films was amazing.

A highlight was the appearance on stage of Pepper, a robot receptionist who had a very amusing dialogue with Managing Director of Rapport, Greg Mace. It was also great to see Philip Dearden and others from head office to present well deserved awards, including Managing Director of Restaurant Associates, James Boyle saying farewell before heading off to work in the USA.

Rapport Guest Services continues to grow every year and launched in Hong Kong in the autumn of 2017. Greg manages to motivate his people to reach ever greater heights of service excellence. Primarily by exciting, engaging and empowering them to provide every guest with a unique experience. Reward for award winners is a Rapport lapel pin (or cufflinks), a bottle of Rapport champagne and specially printed ‘Award Winner’ business cards.
